37-2026 - 37-2026 Gear Drying Rack

The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge Fire Department is requesting quotations for the supply and delivery of turnout gear drying racks for use in our fire stations. 

The drying racks will be used to dry firefighter turnout gear (coats and pants) and accessories (boots, gloves, helmets, hoods) after use and after laundering, in line with NFPA 1851 care and maintenance practices. Each unit shall, at a minimum:

• Dry 4 complete sets of turnout gear at the same time, with additional ports or posts for boots, gloves and helmets
• Use forced ambient air (low or no heat) so that gear is dried without damaging protective materials
• Run on standard 120V, 15A power with a built-in timer and on/off controls
• Have a fully welded steel frame on lockable casters, delivered assembled or requiring minimal assembly
• Carry CSA, cUL or equivalent electrical certification acceptable in Ontario
• Include a minimum 2-year warranty on electrical components and 5-year warranty on the frame

Quotations shall include unit pricing, freight and delivery to Kakabeka Falls, Ontario, estimated delivery time, warranty details, and product specification sheets for the model offered. Proponents offering an alternate product must provide enough technical information to show it is equal to the specified product.
